TRAINING AND FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
PERSONAL TRAINING AT HOME
The biggest reason why you don’t go to the gym or exercise is they are too busy and don’t have time. A lot of us are now working from home and it’s become even harder to juggle between and work and family with schools opening and closing unexpectedly. And now that gyms are intermittently closed even if you did want to go, there is no way of keeping consistency. And on top of that a lack of motivation, feeling too self-conscious about one’s appearance, or lack of results from their past attempts to lose weight and get healthy.
Personal training at home allows you to train at home around your busy schedule, you have a professional trainer helping you to keep you motivated and get you the results you want, and don’t have to worry about feeling self-conscious in the gym.
THE CONSULTATION
Your initial consultation is FREE of charge, this includes doing a general health and fitness analysis and gives me the chance to find out more about your goals and what I can do to help you achieve these. This also gives you the chance to meet me via Zoom, Whatsapp, or skype call and ask any questions you may have long before we decide if we are right for each other.
DOES IT MATTER HOW FIT I AM?
Not at all, I have helped all kinds of people improve their fitness, quality of life, and physiques, from formation skydivers to post-heart surgery patients wanting to lose weight. We all have to start somewhere and all of your sessions and workouts are designed progressively to suit you at each stage.
HOW LONG IS EACH SESSION?
Each session is 45 or 60 minutes long for 1-2-1 personal training sessions and varies for Online Coaching workouts, you should always be on time for your session ready to train at the agreed time to get the most out of your training. Most Administrative work is done in the trainer’s time. Please also be aware that if you are late for your session, I may not be able to overrun it.
HOW FAST WILL I GET RESULTS?
This all depends on how often you train and how committed you are to getting your results. Trust in my plan, follow instructions 100% and keep focused, especially relating to any nutritional plan then you will feel better within just 1 week and see improvements within 2 weeks. The rate of weight loss will vary from person to person and is dependent upon your starting weight, gender, and metabolism, and most importantly good nutrition and how often they train. For best results, I advise following your custom programme guidelines for a minimum of 12 weeks.
CAN I TRAIN WITH A PARTNER?
Absolutely. Training with someone else can be a lot of fun and helps in keeping motivated. And is also a way to keep the cost of training down.
WHAT EQUIPMENT AND CLOTHES DO I NEED IN ORDER TO TRAIN?
Currently, 1-2-1 training is done live through zoom, due to current covid restrictions. If you already have fitness equipment that you would specifically like to use, I am happy to incorporate that into your workouts too. It is recommended to have some basic equipment such as resistance tubes/bands or Dumbbells for following a training program, however it is not essential. You will need to wear supportive trainers and workout clothing such as jogging bottoms and a t-shirt and also recommend that you have a towel handy for your workout.
MY HOME IS QUITE SMALL, WILL THERE BE ENOUGH SPACE TO TRAIN?
The equipment that we personal trainers use is designed to be small, compact and portable. I have been training clients for years and have not come across a client’s home that is too small to train in.
